JW Fishers introduces the CHIRP 450/950 kHz side scan sonar system, designed to meet evolving industry needs while maintaining affordability. This high-resolution digital sonar is optimized for search and recovery missions, offering a significant price/performance advantage in low-cost CHIRP technology. Unlike traditional sonars, CHIRP technology delivers up to 50% longer range without sacrificing image quality, crucial for rescue dive teams conducting longer transmissions. The redesigned side scan towfish ensures stability and signal integrity, even in turbulent waters, and can be towed at speeds up to 3 knots for optimal image quality. The system includes a PVC towfish, control box, 150’ cable, Microsoft Surface Tablet with Sonar View software, and a watertight carry case.
